The Time, The Attitude, The Place!

You’ve been working on yourself, got that new look, rekindled old friendships, made some new ones, maybe joined a group or two and the desire has begun, you’ve realized that you do desire to “get out there” and meet men!

So, the time is now, you’ve got the right attitude, you’re feeling confident and ready, the place….can be anywhere!

The most important aspect of dating is “getting out there” after years of not being on the dating scene.

It's a different world, with different "rules" mmmm, how I hate that word and yet for lack of another word it's the one I shall use.

Networking: Tell everyone you know you are looking…sounds desperate? Of course not, when seeking a new job, dentist or doctor we do this, so why not when seeking a new person in our lives!

It takes approximately 7 minutes to know if you have chemistry…and that is the allotted time you have with each and every person that night…. Go with another single friend, this way you can enjoy the “gabbing” session after the event with someone in the same boat.

Personal Ads and Matchmakers: Newspapers offer a great way of expressing and letting others know you’re out there! Matchmakers can “select” the type of person you are seeking, for a fee of course.

Phone Lines: Browse your local paper and find one that you feel comfortable with. Your voice is your link to others, sounding confident, with a smile in your voice is key!

Singles Events: From dinners, brunches, to events based on activities like bowling, hiking and more, check out what your community if offering.

Online Dating: a guru in this genre, I began online dating in its infancy back in 1999, I learned so much about myself and the dating world that I wanted to share my experiences, I wrote a book about it....

So now you have a variety of ways of “getting out there”. But what are you looking for? Interludes of lust, escapades of adventure, a significant other, or do you just want to get out there and meet to meet and determine what’s out there?

You don’t want to attract the same “type” you were with, nor do you wish to repeat any patterns. So you must be conscious of what you desire to attract into your life.

Yes, more pondering and more work, but it’s worth it, you’re worth it! What you want, what you desire in another person and what type of relationship you want to embark upon is truly up to you, you’re in control of who enters your life and for how long and on what terms.
